Chapter 1…


In the works now, is Chapter 1. Still a long way to go with how I eventually want it to look and the plan for it. I’m also looking at replicating the game and using Ren’py to allow for further creativity to my content. It’ll hopefully make the game even easier to access while allowing me further freedom. 

And on a personal note, I just want to say a huge thanks to everyone that downloaded and has sent me messages. It literally means the world to me, so I will do my absolute and utmost best to make a game that fully expresses how I want it to be. As usual, this updated chapter will be free as well.

Have you ever tried screenshotting the scenes in your game, cropping it to the scene instead of it being a full screenshot, and then importing that into Ren'py? Basically, you take pictures of what is already made and put them into software since Kocho games are usually made up of still images instead of animated ones. Do you have a script? A script is important.

No not so far. I’d been trying to finish the general plan for Chapter 1 before fully trying to transfer the game onto Ren’py. 

I’ll definitely refer back to this though. I have a lot to learn about code myself so I’ll probably follow what you’ve said here when I’ve actually started the process.

You could also use a screen recorder to record animated scenes as mp4 videos and put that into REn'Py as well if possible.

Do you know if it’s easy to run or allow mobiles or tablets to run Ren’py games? I’m essentially halfway through Chapter 1 but don’t want to freeze out mobile and tablet players that have downloaded the game. 

I’m already having issues with allowing players to continue their save data that’s why I came up with that “temporary” memory game feature.
